SURREY, BC — Eighteen antique trucks moved from Port Coquitlam to a new home in Cloverdale, according to the Cloverdale Reporter. The trucks are part of the Surrey Heritage Society’s vintage vehicles collection and will be part of a new transportation centre in Cloverdale, B.C.
The trucks had once been part of the Royal BC Museum, Transport Collection, 1974 to 1987 and then part of the former B.C. Transportation Museum, Cloverdale between 1987 and 1992.
Then the teamsters had them the Teamsters Freight Transportation Museum as part of their vintage truck display before the trucks made their way back to Cloverdale, as part of the B.C. Vintage Truck Museum.
The trucks range from 1914 FWD to one of the newest additons to the museum, a 1955 GMC Firetruck that once put out fires in Hope, BC.

Alyn Edwards covered the Museum’s new enlarged space in his Collectible Classic column in the Province newspaper the Friday before the event. It was a great way to showcase the BC Vintage Truck Museum right before the Open House Feb 24.
