Our newest arrival at our Museum! Meet her. Just arrived from Port Alberni on The Island is this magnificently restored 1948 Hayes 13-12 lovingly restored to pristine condition by Vic Laughlin. She came with copy of original Hayes build sheets.
She was re-engined in January 1950, receiving a Hercules model TDXB engine that is as original as possible. Originally owned by Baldwin Contracting, She was used with a low boy hauling logs. She passed through a second owner a bulldozing company then to a third owner Max Oysters which ran an oyster farm at Fanny Bay on The Island, hauling oyster shells.

The final owner, Vic Laughlin got her and began a complete restoration in the mid 1980s. She is now in the care and comfort of our dedicated volunteers at the Museum. The photo set includes a first show tour of the cab, and how she looked when Vic began his restoration. A 1940s Hayes Anderson brochure rests on the driver seat. Come visit the Museum to see our latest truck, from Hayes a legendary BC truck manufacturer.
